摘要 PURPOSE: To solve a problem that the brightness of a selected pixel with slow timing is darker than that of a pixel with fast timing and flicker is easily generated by almost removing a change in the voltage of a display electrode at the time of inverting signal voltage. CONSTITUTION: The polarity of signal voltage to the potential Vc of a counter electrode is alternately inverted between odd-th signal lines and even-th signal lines to impress the voltage to the signal lines. In the case of alternately inverting the polarity of signal voltage values Vd1 to Vd2 K in each line, the voltage changeΔVpij of the display electrode is sharply reduced almost to zero. Namely the potential change of display electrode due to parasitic capacity between adjacent signal lines is mutually offset by mutually inverting the polarity of driving voltage of adjacent signal lines. Consequently a problem that the brightness of a selected pixel with slow timing is darker than that of a selected pixel with fast timing and flicker is easily generated is solved.
