<p>Each garment is made from several pieces cut form a strip of material, and apart from the cutting equipment a transport device (4,8,9) is available to move the parts to a number of work stations (1) in the sequence in which they are to be assembled. A number of carriers (6,13) supports the parts through the transport device. Connected to the cutting equipment is a mechanical picking unit which takes up the parts cut form the material strip, and transverse them to the respective carriers. A computer system takes in data from the cutting equipment for identifaction of the cut pieces in connection with their assembly into correct sets. The picking unit has grippers securing pieces cut from the material strip, and lifting units which raise the garment parts by movement of the grippers. (Provisional basic advised week 89/22).</p> |
