PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POWDERY WATEROAT

摘要

A process for the prepn. of water-oat powder comprises (a) washing the leaves and stems of water-oat collected between May and August, slicing them to the size of 0.5-3cm and air-drying them so that the moisture become 50%; (b) presterilizing them by the addn. of a sugar or by steam-boiling; (c) fermenting them with commercial Aspergillus or Bacillus cultures for 10-20hr at 20-50≦̸C; (d) air-drying the fermentates and pulverizing them to give water-oat powder for food and/or livestock additive.
