PURPOSE:To loosen a packed bed of a particulate material, which is compacted in a vessel filled with a liquid, in a short time and effectively by injecting a liquid through more than one jet nozzles arranged at the side wall of the vessel. CONSTITUTION:More than one jet nozzles 2 are arranged at the side wall of a vessel 1, wherein a particulate material is packed, and a suitable liquid supplied through a pipe 3 is injected into a compacted part of the packed bed of the particulate material in the vessel 1. In a desolventation process, e.g., a removal of acetone contained in a particulate chemical with liquid carbon dioxide, the desolventation efficiency decreases as the packed bed of the particulate chemical becomes compacted, because cracks, which are generated and developed in the compacted part of the packed bed, promote a short circuit flow of an extracting agent, liquid carbon dioxide. If liquid carbon dioxide is injected into the vessel 1 through the jet nozzles 2 at that time, the compacted particulate chemical will be loosened and the desolvation can be proceeded again at the same time. |
