发明名称 PRODUCTION OF MELTING FLUX FOR SUBMERGED ARC WELDING
摘要 PURPOSE:To stably produce a melting flux ensuring a superior bead shape and satisfactory mechanical properties by melting and crushing starting materials including specified perceranges of nickel slag and manganese oxide ore and/or manganese silicate ore. CONSTITUTION:Starting materials for a flux including 30-90wt.% nickel slag basing on the total weight and 10-40wt.%, in total, of manganese oxide ore and/or manganese silicate ore are melted and crushed to produce a melting flux. The nickel slag is based on about 50-60% SiO2 and about 30-40% MgO and further contains <=about 5% Al2O3, <=about 5% CaO, etc. The manganese oxide ore is a mineral based on manganese oxide such as MnO or MnO2. The manganese silicate ore is a compd. oxide based on SiO2 and MnO. The melting flux for submerged arc welding ensures superior welding work efficiency and superior toughness of a weld metal.
