PURPOSE:To stabilize separating point of solidified shell and to secure casting stability by arranging slow cooling plate in the range of the specific length to each drawing direction as centering a feed nozzle on the whole inner circumferential face of water cooled plate for a mold. CONSTITUTION:The slow cooling plate 22 composing of material having heat conductivity less than copper is arranged in the range of 5-100mm length to each drawing direction as centering the feed nozzle 6 on the hole inner circumferential face of the water cooled plate 12 for the mold 8. By this method, the solidified shell near the separating point of the solidified shell is uniformly developed and the growing speed thereof is restrained, and the separating point is uniformized and casting operation is stabilized and at the same time, development of double skin can be prevented. |
