PURPOSE:To suppress occurrence of tooth decay of dogs and cats, by blending a feed with a buffering nondigestible substance having 4-8pka. CONSTITUTION:A buffering nondigestible substance having 4-8pka has buffering ability resembling that of spittle. Removal of ash of enamel resulting from acids produced, by bacteria causing tooth decay is suppressed by using the buffering ability. Since the substance is nondigestible, increase in weight is prevented. A substance containing a functional group to provide buffering ability in the structure, such as phosphoric acid or amino acid is used as the buffering nondigestible substance having 4-8pka. |
