PURPOSE:To separate various biological substances based on the differences of their charges and make the separation possible at high flow velocity by introducing an ion exchange group into a cross-linked glucomannan spherical particle to form a cross-linked glucomannan ion exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A cross-linked glucomannan spherical particle is immersed in an alkali solution in advance, and then is allowed to react with a reagent which becomes an ion exchanger group with a halogen terminal which needs to be introduced. Consequently, the ion exchange group is introduced to form an ion exchanger. The introduced ion exchange group is such as aminoetyl group, carboxymethyl group, sulfomethyl group, primary - quarternary aminoethyl groups, sulfopropil group and phosphate group. The preferable cross- linked glucomannan spherical particle is such that it has min. 1.5 of degree of swelling, 200-100000000 of excluded critical molecular weight and 5-500mum in particle size. |
