<p>PURPOSE:To drive a laser diode in real time on receiving an input signal and obtain a high-speed and high-quality printer output, by providing an FIFO mem ory which receives an input data signal, outputs data contents for individual specified data and switching signals sequentially, and outputs as a digital signal comparison data comparing an internal data with an input data in synchroniza tion with sequential data. CONSTITUTION:An FIFO memory 1, on receiving an input signal of a video data, outputs data sequentially to switch a constant current driver 3, compares the contents of consecutive data strings on a block basis, converts data to digital values corresponding to input signals, and produce outputs in synchronization with the switching signals of a constant current driver 3. Since digital outputs are input to a D/A converter 2 for conversion into analog values and then set the current values of the driver 3 which in turn drives a laser diode 4, the density of a print pattern can be controlled in accordance with a peak value to improve printing quality.</p> |
