PURPOSE:To enable the short-time manufacture of a large-sized display sheet which can be observed with both reflected light and transmitted light, by inter posing a white ink layer between the first script image to be observed with reflected light and a script image created by the second ink jet system that increases the density of that script image. CONSTITUTION:The first ink jet system 19-1 main-scans a recording medium 7 along a scanning line 22-1 and sub-scans it laterally every main scanning, thus performing the two-dimensional scanning of the medium 7. Spray gun stage 13 moves rightward and white spray gun 20 sprays white ink continuously along the scanning line of a script image drawn by the jet system 19-1. The gun stage 13 moves further rightward and the second ink jet system 19-2 keeps on overcoating an ink streak jetted by the jet system 19-1 with identical script images via white ink layers. A display sheet to be obtained can be observed in the first script image with reflected light with white ink layers serving as reflection layers. When the sheet is illuminated from rear, the white ink layers transmit light and, therefore, show positive transparency. |
