COATED SHEET FOR INK JET RECORDING

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide an image with high ink absorption and satisfactory dot shape and color development by providing a coated layer consisting of white pigment as a main component at least on one side of a specific sheet-like base member of wood pulp and soft calcium carbonate as main components. CONSTITUTION:Seventy 100pts.wt. of wood pulp and 0-30% of soft calcium carbonate are used to make sheet paper. The sheet has a thickness of 50-150mum and a basis weight of 50-100g/m<2>. Its Stockigt sizing degree is 2-10sec when the basis weight is 64g/m<2>. A coated layer of white pigment is applied in 2-8g/m<2> on one or both surfaces of a sheet-like base material. The white pigment has developing and high oil absorption properties with high specific surface area. Silica of fine particles containing particles with 200-400g of high specific surface area and 2-10mum of secondary particle diameter is most preferable as a main component. The coated layer contains 10-40pts.wt. of silanolated vinyl alcohol copolymer or cationic vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion. This chemical content improves ink absorption and adhesion. Further, it is recommended that water-soluble cationic copolymer compound be added for the realization of water-proofness of an image.
