Method and arrangement for drying non-metallic material, the material being fed, in a moist or wet state, preferably continuously via a conveyor belt 3 into a drying zone 2 of a drying tunnel 1. In a free-standing unit 4, microwaves are generated by means of magnetrons. The microwaves are guided via a waveguide into the drying zone 2, where they are distributed uniformly over the wet material. One or two resonant tubes 6, 7 are connected to the drying zone 2. Infrasound is introduced into the drying zone 2 via these tubes 6, 7. Hot, dry air is introduced into the drying zone 2 via an inlet 8. Outgoing moist air is extracted via an outlet 9. <IMAGE> |
