The present invention relates to a nano-composite and a manufacturing method thereof. The nano-composite mixes a carboxylic phenyl polymer-modified multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWNT) with a metal precursor, composes M^2+/MWNT, and mixes the M^2+/MWNT with an oxidizer again to be formed with a metal oxide (M_2O_3)/MWNT under a hydrothermal reaction. The metal oxide/MWNT nano-composite manufactured by the present invention can be used as an energy storage system as an electrode for supercapacitor.
