The present invention relates to an electric cookware in which a bimetal sheet can open or close an air supply port in a lower floor surface of an outer container of the electric cookware according to a set temperature in the electric cookware such that the electric cookware can be opened or closed to a temperature setting that enables an increase in thermal insulation efficiency, and to an automatic open/close method. The present invention is an electric cookware (100), wherein an air supply port (121) is formed in a floor surface of an outer container (120) of the electric cookware (100), and a bimetal sheet (200) enabling opening/closing of the air supply port (121) is installed in the lower portion of the outer container (120). The present invention is a method for automatically opening and closing an air supply port (121) of an outer container (100), wherein the method comprises: a step (S100) in which food is cooked by placing food to be cooked in an inner pot (110) of an electric cooker (100); a step (S200) in which, when the electric cookware (100) is heated such that the temperature increases to at least a set temperature, the air supply port (121) opens as a bimetal sheet (200) in the form of a thin plate is automatically curved by the hot air; a step (S300) in which, as the air supply port (121) opens, the outside air flows in to cool and prevent heating of the electric cookware (100); a step (S400) in which, when the food has been cooked and the set temperature has been reached, the bimetal sheet (200) opening the air supply port (121) is automatically straightened; and a step (S500) in which, as the bimetal sheet (200) has been automatically straightened, the air supply port (121) is closed, thereby shutting off the inflow of air. |
