<p>PURPOSE:To uniformly apply electrode paste on the side face of a varistor material by a method wherein the annular varistor material having a tapered side face is pressure-welded to the elastic member for transfer, on which electrode paste is formed on the main surface. CONSTITUTION:An annular varistor material 12 having a tapered side face is pressure-welded to the elastic member for transfer of the plate 17 having electrode paste 13a-15a on the corresponded position for electrode formation on the main surface. As a result, the small-diametered main surface 12b of the varistor material 12 comes in contact with the paste material 13a-15a from its main surface 12b having a small diameter, the paste material 13a-15a can be applied uniformly on the side face of the varistor material, and an electrode can be formed by printing in a highly precise manner. As a result, the varistor having a few irregularity in characteristics can be formed in a simple manner.</p> |
