Connection terminal, enabling several electrical cables (8) of large cross-section or of small cross-section (17) to be connected together, each cable being positioned in a separate housing and individually locked by a screw. The one-piece metal part (1) is pierced with horizontal holes (4) of increasing depths in a step-wise manner. The tapped vertical holes (5) each receive a locking screw (2). The block (1) is fastened in two plastic half-shells (22), (23). Application: the assembly is electrically insulated and it is fixed onto DIN standard rails. The cables are not bent. <IMAGE>
