PURPOSE:To prevent the inconvenience at the time of handling caused by a leakage developer by making a gap between a developer carrying body and a control member narrower than a prescribed value prior to use and setting it to the prescribed value at the time of use. CONSTITUTION:A sheet-like gap adjusting member 10 is inserted into a gap between a control member 14 and a developing sleeve 5, one end thereof is attached to the inside of a developer container 12 through the gap and the other passes through the gap and a developing area and drawn out to the outside of a process cartridge. One end in the inside of the developer container 12 of the gap adjusting member 10 is stuck so as to be peelable and can be drawn out simply by drawing the other end protruded to the outside at the time of installing process cartridge. That is, since the gap adjusting member 10 is provided, the gap decreases substantially. In such a way, even if the process cartridge is subjected to a vibration and a shock, etc., at the time of handling prior to use, it scarcely occurs that a start developer 7 passes through this gap and leaks out to the developing area, and damage of a photosensitive body 1 caused by the developer can be prevented. |
