PURPOSE:To prevent a window glass from damage and fitting a gasket with the edge of a window glass closely and firmly by providing a dummy body in a mold, forming a gasket by injection molding, removing the gasket from the dummy body and mounting on the window glass. CONSTITUTION:A dummy body 8 at least the edge of which is of the same shape as that of a window glass 1 is disposed between a core 3 and cavity 4 of a mold 5 and the core 3 and the cavity 4 are clamped together. A cavity space 6 is formed on the edge of a dummy body 8 by this arrangement. A gasket material is injected into the cavity space 6 through a gate 7 and solidified to form a gasket 2. The dummy body 8 and the gasket 2 are removed by opening the core 3 and the cavity 4 of the mold 5 after forming a gasket 2 on the edge of the dummy body 8. Then, the gasket 2 is removed from the dummy body 8 and the gasket 2 is inserted and fitted into the edges of the window glass. |
