PURPOSE:To supply water surely and easily and prevent the deterioration of a battery due to the liquid exhaustion by counting the charged electricity quantity after the battery voltage of a battery charger reaches the fixed value and supplying water when the preset electricity quantity is attained. CONSTITUTION:When a battery of 48V and 390Ah is to be charged from the 80% discharge, for example, a battery charger charges in excess by about 15% with a current of 70-75A initially and 15-25A finally. If there is an electrolyte of 0.324(l) to the lowest liquid level to be supplied with water for a element battery, water of 0.0163(l) is electrolyzed by the excessive charge of 390X0.8X0.15=48.6Ah, thus water must be supplied once in 0.324divided by 0.0163 20 times. This battery charger activates a voltage relay when the battery voltage becomes 58.2V and is automatically stopped after it charges for 4hr.
