PURPOSE:To aim at the promotion of miniaturization and lightweightiness for a power steering by setting up both input and output shafts on the same axis, and installing a phase difference generating part, operating a hydraulic control valve mechanism, between these shafts. CONSTITUTION:An input shaft 23 and an output shaft 26 installed in a steering shaft are set up on the same axis C, and a phase difference generating part 20, operating a hydraulic control valve mechanism 81, is installed between these shafts. This phase difference generating part 20 is constituted of a projection 25 of the input shaft 23, a recess 28 of the output shaft 26, a centering spring 69 installed in this recess and so on. When right-hand rotational toque is inputted into the input shaft 23, there is produced a phase difference to the output shaft 26 as much as a portion for setting load in the centering spring 69, whereby this phase difference rotates a spool lever 87 counterclockwise, thus hydraulic control takes place. |
