PURPOSE:To improve sealing properties by embedding an elastic tube within a gasket in the subject window pane of glass for automobiles and the like. CONSTITUTION:A window pane of glass 1 is placed on the lower die 3 of a forming die 4 so that an elastic tube 7 composed of rubber and the like is arranged within a cavity 6 while being supported by projections 9 onto the wall surface of a cavity space 6. And liquid which can be removed later on, for example, water is filled in the aforesaid tube 7. Then, an upper die 2 is put on so as to hold the window pane of glass 1, following which, gasket material is injected into the cavity space 6 so as to form a gasket 10 monolithically with the window pane of glass 1 while the elastic tube 7 is contained in. Then, after the dies are removed, water injected into the elastic tube 7 is drawn through a small hole made on the gasket 10. This constitution enables the capacity of elastic deformation of the gasket 10 to be increased, thereby enabling an improvement in sealing properties. |
