PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, containing a substituted phenoxyurea and other compounds as an active ingredient and capable of exhibiting excellent herbicidal activity against a wide range of weeds in a smaller amount of chemi cal than that in use of single agents by synergistic effects, usable from the emergence starting period to the growth period and having high safety. CONSTITUTION:A herbicidal composition obtained by blending a substituted phenoxyurea, e.g. 3-(3,5-dichlorophenoxy)-1,1-tetramethyleneurea expressed by formula I (X is lower alkyl; n is 0-2; m is 4-6) and capable of exhibiting excellent effects on barnyard grass, annual weeds, bulrush, etc., with ethyl 5-[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)carbamoylsulfamoyl]-1-methylpyrazole-4- carboxylate, expressed by formula II and capable of exhibiting excellent effects on perennial Japanese ribbon wapato, arrowhead, water nutgrass, etc., and containing the resultant blend as an active ingredient therein. The above- mentioned blending weight ratio is 1:0.1-1 by pt. of the former to the latter. The composition is capable of especially exhibiting excellent herbicidal activity against weeds in paddy field. |
