PURPOSE:To operate a ship so that deflection does not exceed a predetermined range and to perform safe navigation along a scheduled sea route, by reading the scheduled sea route from a memory to display the same and displaying the wake of its own ship and the deflection from the scheduled sea route. CONSTITUTION:Prior to navigation, the chart data of a navigation sea area is preliminarily read from a chart data memory 1 by the first operational processing means 2 to be displayed on the first display and a safe scheduled sea route avoiding a rock is formed by the operation of a keyboard 4 to be stored in a scheduled sea route memory 5. The scheduled sea route is read from the memory 5 at the time of navigation by the second operational processing means 6 to be displayed on the second display 8, and the wake of its own ship and the deflection from the scheduled sea route led out by the means 5 are displayed on the display 8 and the ship is operated so that the deflection does not exceed a predetermined range. By this method, the ship can be safely navigated almost along the scheduled sea route without running on a rock. |
