PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, containing 2,3-dichloro-4- ethoxymethoxybenzanilide and other compounds and capable of exhibiting synergistic action on all the weeds in paddy field, reducing phytotoxicity to paddy rice and spraying even in the next week after seeding. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by blending 2,3-dichloro-4- ethoxymethoxybenzanilide, capable of exhibiting powerful weeding effects only on barnyard millets and having great selectivity for paddy rice with 4-(2,4- dichlorobenzoyl)-1,3-dimethylpyrazol-5-yl-p-toluenesulfonate, capable of controlling most of weeds in paddy field, having great selectivity for rice plant and applicable even to direct seeding cultivation. A granule is preferred for applying the above-mentioned composition and a carrier or adjuvant is added to prepare a pharmaceutical. Furthermore, a suitable period for treatment of >=2 weeks just after seeding can be expended even in direct seeding in waterlogged soil and the herbicide can be sprayed even in the next week after seeding. The spraying day can be optionally selected even if an unforeseen accident occurs in allotment of labor or weather, etc. |
