PURPOSE: To automatically shape up a character pattern to generate a beautiful character pattern by performing a processing to remove a background noise from the binary picture of a matrix, a processing to remove a linear edge noise by using black runs, a vector shaping-up processing to remove noises of bend points and end points of outline vectors, etc. CONSTITUTION: A matrix 1 is read by a graphic input device 2 and is converted to an input character pattern 3 of the binary picture, and a background noise removal means 4 removes the background noise of this input character pattern, and a linear noise removal means 5 removes a noise on lines. A vertical and horizontal line shaping-up means 6 removes the noise in outline vectors and recognizes vertical and horizontal lines respectively to make the line width uniform, and a beautiful output character pattern 7 is outputted. Thus, the beautiful character pattern of good quality is automatically generated from the matrix. |
