PURPOSE:To integrally and electrostatically transfer a multicolor image on an intermediate transferring body to a transfer material without color irregularity when the multicolor image on the intermediate transferring body is retransferred to the transfer material by electrifying toner for the multicolor image by a pre-processing electrostatic charging means just before the retransferring. CONSTITUTION:The pre-processing electrostatic charging means 13a and 13b which electrify the image on the intermediate transferring body are arranged in the moving direction of the intermediate transferring body 10 nearer than the position to which the transfer material is transferred from the intermediate transferring body 10. Therefore, the electrified state of a toner image is strengthened before secondary transferring by means of the preprocessing chargers 13a and 13b. Thus, when the electric charges of the toner image transferred in a 1st or a 2nd primary transferring process are decreased in the 2nd or a 3rd primary transferring, enough electric charges are held in a part where electrified charges are tend to be decreased in the 2nd and subsequent primary transferrings, especially like a monochrome part where the toner image isn't formed in the 2nd and 3rd primary transferrings nor overlapped with the toner image formed in the 1st primary transferring, whereby the toner image can be efficiently and stably transferred. |
