PURPOSE: To obtain a composition, comprising an inhibitor of a golgiα- mannosidase II enzyme and an interferon or an interferon inducer and useful for preventing and treating cancer metastasis and proliferation disorder. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) an inhibitor of a golgiα- mannosidase II enzyme, e.g. swainsonine and (B) an interferon or an interferon inducer, e.g.α-,β- orγ-interferon, poly(I.C.) poly(I.C)-LC or a tumor necrosis factor therein. The concentrations of the respective ingredients are theα- orβ-interferon at a concentration within the range of 10<2> to 5×10<4> units/m<3> and the poly(I.C.) and poly(I.C.)-LC each at a concentration within the range of 0.1-100mg/m<3> based on the ingredient A at a concentration within the range of 0.03-300μg/g. The antiproliferative properties and antiviral effects of the ingredient B are promoted by the use of the ingredient A together to inhibit the neoplasm formation and metastasis. |
