PURPOSE:To obtain the title traveller coming into contact with yarn by point contact, having excellent heat dissipation effect, wear resistance and long life, by subjecting the yarn passage part of a metallic traveller circle to satin treat ment and providing the satin face with a ceramic coating layer. CONSTITUTION:The yarn passage part of a metallic traveller circle is subjected to stain treatment and the stain face is coated with a ceramic coating layer (preferably formed by plural layers of different kinds of ceramics) to give the aimed traveller. The yarn passage part is at least brought into contact with yarn. The part provided with the ceramic coating layer has surface roughness of preferably 1.5-3.5mu ten point average roughness RZ. A coating film of an epoxy resin containing a solid lubricant is preferably formed on the surface of the metallic traveller except the yarn passage part. |
