PURPOSE: To optionally move a passenger car along a wall surface by arranging a normally conductive coil in a lattice form vertically and horizontally along the wall surface, setting a superconductive magnet in the passenger car, and changing the polarity of the generated magnetic field vertically and horizontally. CONSTITUTION: Normally conductive coils 13 are set in a lattice form vertically and horizontally on two opposed parallel wall surfaces of a hoistway, and superconductive magnets 12 are set on both surfaces of a passenger car 11 opposed thereto in the same lattice form to constitute a linear motor by the both. The polarity and magnetic flux density of the magnetic field generated by each of the normally conductive coils 13 are controlled by a control device 114, whereby the passenger car 11 is moved vertically or horizontally, or in an optional direction in the state separated from the wall surfaces. Thus, an excellent elevator device can be realized. |
