PURPOSE:To make it possible to provide a compact arrangement and to remove air bubbles in lubrication oil, by providing an oil chamber incorporating specific crosswise and vertical holes between a plurality of engine cylinders arranged in parallel within a cylinder block. CONSTITUTION:An oil chamber 3 is disposed between a plurality of engine cylinders 2 arranged in parallel within a cylinder block 1. Meanwhile a main gallery 7 is formed in a crank casing 5, and a pipe 8 connected to the main gallery 7 is arranged upright in the oil chamber 3, being opened therein. A crosswise hole 9 is formed in the lower section of the oil chamber 3, and is communicated to a lash adjuster through oil holes which are formed in the cylinder block 1 and a cylinder head 6, respectively. Further, a vertical hole 15 is formed in the upper end of the oil chamber 3, and is communicated with a cam shaft through an oil hole formed in the cylinder head 6. |
