PURPOSE:To execute welding without accumulating an oxide nor damaging a product by using specified welding material in case of the build-up welding of the metal product of a plate shape, etc., subjected to a hot heat under the high temp. atmosphere of a heating furnace, etc. CONSTITUTION:A round bar like electrode is manufactured by melting by an arc melting the mixed powder whose grain size range is 53-106mum and whose chemical composition is composed of 40-70% Cr, 20-50% Co, 2-8% C, 0.5-20% W, 0.05-15% Ni and Fe in total, 0.5-5% Si and Mn in total, <=0.5% other inevitable impurities and the balance Co. A build-up welding is executed on the whole upper face of a skid button, etc., made of a heat resistant steel by oxygen-acethylene gas welding by using this electrode. The skid button thereof is heated in the heating furnace of the specified atm. temp. Meanwhile the eutectic consisting of a carbide and solid solution is formed, no agglutination of the metal of the product coming into contact or sliding with the build-up welding face is generated, therefore, there is no accumulation of an oxide as well and no product in high temp. is damaged. |
