PURPOSE:To feed a long sized plate stock into a punching press with accurate pitch by controlling the feeding device of a plate stock by setting to the pitch of the wavy edge of a long sized plate stock found by the linear image sensor of >=two pieces. CONSTITUTION:A circular or polygonal blank is punched with feeding intermittently the long sized plate stock S whose wheel part of one side is in a wavy shape in the longitudinal direction. The edge detecting device 11 equipped with four linear image sensors 12, for instance, is arranged at the upperstream side of this blanking equipment. Each sensor 12 is located just the above of the plate stock S so as to face an edge E along the feeding direction of the plate stock S at about 1/2 intervals of the reference pitch of the wavy edge E of the plate stock S mutually. Each sensor 12 detects the intersection position of the edge E projected thereon and a sensor line, finding the pitch of the edge E from the detected position of more than two places and controlling the feeding device of the plate stock S by setting to this pitch. |
