A sheet punching device that applies punching processing to a sheet, comprising: a placement table on which the sheet is placed; a hollow punching member that punches the sheet placed on the placement table; a punching moving member that moves the punching member between a punching position where the sheet is punched and a retreat position retreated from the punching position; a punching drive section that drives the punching moving member; a waste pushing member that is disposed in the hollow portion of the punching member and pushes punching waste remaining in the hollow portion; a pushing moving member that moves the waste pushing member between a pushing position protruding from the hollow portion of the punching member and a housing position in the hollow portion; and a pushing drive section that drives the pushing moving member, wherein the punching drive section and the pushing drive section are realized as a single common drive motor, and a rotational direction of the drive motor is switched to select the punching moving member to move the hollow punching member or the pushing moving member to move the waste pushing member.
