<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin having high softening point and excellent heat-resistance and processability of, e.g., solder-removing treatment and suitable as an insulating material, by reacting a dibasic carboxylic acid having imide group and a tribasic carboxylic acid with a dihydric alcohol and a trihydric alcohol. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin can be produced by dissolving (A) preferably 5-20 equivalent % of a dibasic carboxylic aid (derivative) having 5-membered cyclic imide group (e.g., reaction product of trimellitic anhydride and ethylenediamine), (B) preferably 10-30 equivalent % of a tribasic carboxylic acid (derivative) (e.g., trimellitic acid), (C) preferably 25-60 equivalent % of a dihydric alcohol (e.g., ethylene glycol) and (D) preferably 10-40 equivalent % of a trihydric aliphatic alcohol (e.g., glycerol) in (E) an organic solvent (e.g., N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) and reacting the components with each other, e.g., at 200-210 deg.C.</p> |
