<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a small device as well as highly reliable performance by forming one of a pair of mutually opposite paper feed rollers with a magnetic substance and the other with an electromagnet. CONSTITUTION:A driving roller formed with a magnetic substance receives a driving force by means of a gear 103 provided on one end. A driven roller 102 is vertically movably supported by guides 106 while being fed with electric power from a driving circuit 107 via electrodes 105 on both ends. The driving circuit 107 intermittently feeds electric power to the driving roller 102 according to a signal from a body via a signal line 108. In this structure, when an electromagnetic-roller ON signal is sent to the signal line 108, power for interposingly holding a sheet of paper is generated between the driving roller 101 and the driven roller 102, to start paper feeding. When the sheet of paper arrives at a paper feeding mechanism on the following stage, an OFF signal is sent to the signal line 108 to make the sheet of paper free.</p> |
