A health management assist device comprises: an image acquisition unit for acquiring a plurality of images of a subject captured over time; an expression recognition unit for recognizing features of expressions of the subject from the individual images acquired by the image acquisition unit; a storage unit for storing the results of expression recognition from the images as time-series data; a health condition estimation unit for detecting a feature relating to a change in expression of the subject over time from the time-series data stored in the storage unit and estimating the mental health condition of the subject on the basis of the detected feature; and an output unit for outputting information relating to the mental health condition of the subject on the basis of the result of estimation by the health condition estimation unit. |
