PURPOSE:To obtain a sintered hard edge by coating the edge part of the body of a tool with superhard alloy powder, sintering the powder by heating, and bonding it to the body by diffusion. CONSTITUTION:A groove 2 of a suitable size is cut in the edge part of the body 1 of a nipper or the like. Powder 3 of a superhard material such as Co, WC, Cr or W is kneaded with a binder and filled into the groove 2 so as to coat the edge part. The powder 3 is sintered by heating with a heater such as a burner, a high frequency furnace or an electric furnace, and simultaneously the powder 3 is bonded to the body 1 by diffusion. |
