<p>PURPOSE: To perform the critical control and concentration measurement of a fissile material effectively by arranging a first unit consisting of a block made of a material containing hydrogen and a first neutron detector, the block made of a material containing hydrogen, and a second neutron detector at both sides of a control region. CONSTITUTION: A device has a first unit E1 that is constituted of a neutron radiation source 6, a block 4 made of a material containing hydrogen with a recess for housing the radiation source 6, and a first neutron detector 10. Also, it has a second unit E2 that is constituted of a block 14 containing hydrogen surrounded by a material 18 for stopping thermal neutron and a second neutron detector 16 installed in the block 14. Then, the units E1 and E2 are arranged at both sides of a control region 2, thus performing the critical control and concentration measurement of fissile material housed in a section 2 by an active neutron reaction measurement effectively.</p> |
