<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a good spectral characteristic by using an external type color development by incorporating a specific cyan coupler into a color developing soln. CONSTITUTION:The cyan coupler expressed by formula is incorporated into the color developing soln. In formula, R1 and R2 denote a substituent; R3 denotes a hydrogen atom or substituent; X denotes a hydrogen atom or the group which can be eliminated by the coupling reaction with the oxidant of the color developing agent. Namely, the developing soln. for this color filter contains one kind of the developing agent and >=2 kinds of the couplers having different hues. 4-Amino-3-methyl-N-ethyl-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)aniline.sulfate, etc., are used for the developing agent. The couplers to be used are external type couplers, for which two kinds or three kinds of the magenta couplers and yellow couplers are used in combination according to a difference in color forming wavelengths, in addition to the cyan couplers expressed by the formula. The color filter for liquid crystal displays, etc., having the excellent spectral characteristics is thereby obtd.</p> |
