PURPOSE: To facilitate the assembling by rotating a pair of rockable calipers having brake blocks on the tips through a link mechanism by the towing operation of a cable inserted to the block of a working member through a vertical groove. CONSTITUTION: A pair of calipers 1 are provided on a support body 2 by two shafts 3 arranged with a parallel space in such a manner as to be rockable, and a brake block 4 to be engaged with the side surface opposed to the rim 5 of a wheel to generate a braking force is mounted on one end of each caliper 1. The calipers 2 are rotated through a parallelepiped mechanism consisting of four connecting rods 8 by the towing operation of a flexible cable 6. In such a brake, a block 15 is provided in the apex position of the parallelepiped mechanism, and a vertically extending groove 19 is formed on the block 15, and a through-hole 14 for passing the cable 6 is opened therein. The fixation of the cable 6 is performed by a general grab screw 16. |
