Toothbrush which can be disposed of after use, including a head 1 equipped with bristles 4 and a handle 2 which can both be removed, the head comprising an inner housing 5 receiving the handle which forms a piston for delivering (pressing) a suitable quantity of a toothpaste through at least one passage hole 18 made in the wall of the housing 5, so that the paste is dispersed between the bristles beyond the hole, the handle having a front part 7 penetrating into the housing which has the same cross-section as the latter and whose length is substantially equal to that of this housing. According to the invention, the toothbrush is characterised in that the front part 7 of the handle 2 includes a reservoir of toothpaste 9 which is open towards the outside and in which is inserted, once this front part has been engaged in the housing 5, a protective cap 26 integral with the head and which can tilt in the reservoir in order to constitute a fixed wall, capable of expelling (pressing) the paste following a displacement of the front part of the handle in the direction opposite to that of its engagement in the housing, the expelled (pressed) paste being discharged via the passage hole 18 provided in this housing. <IMAGE>
