Devices for surrounding resting places, such as beds or couches, with light screens and also optionally with sound-absorbing devices. In an extension thereto, provision is made for air-conditioning devices, so that a resting person is surrounded by adjustable temperatures and humidities. The supply of temperature-controlled water around or within a resting place, such as a bed, is suitable for keeping given parts warm or cooled and also for conveying desired temperatures to specific parts of the body.
