PURPOSE:To prevent a color from getting impure, which is caused by the mixture of white color with the toner of other color, by executing copying only when the white toner is loaded in the upper most position and stopping copying when other toner is loaded there. CONSTITUTION:Three-bit signals for identifying the color of the toner of developing devices 4, 5 and 6 are inputted in the ports PB0-PB5 and PA5-PA7 of a CPU200. A color selection signal is inputted in a port PD1 with a toner color selection key 79. When the white toner is selected, it is discriminated whether the developing device is fitted in an upper stage and the toner incorporated in said developing device is white. If the white toner is loaded in the upper stage, copying is started by controlling a clutch from a port PC0 in order to drive the developing device 4 and also controlling an IC201 for driving from ports PA0-PA3. If the white toner is not in the upper stage, the driving is stopped. thus, copying can be executed with stable white color. |
