Thiohydantoin compounds represented by general formula (I) (wherein R1 represents benzisoxazolyl group, tetrahydrobenzisoxazolyl group, styryl group, alpha -methylstyryl group or (II) represents halogen atom, lower alkyl group, trifluoromethyl group, methoxy group, phenethyl group, benzyloxy group, ethoxycarbonyl group, cyclopropyl group, isobutylcyclohexyl group, cyclohexylmethoxy group, phenyl group, halogenophenyl group, methoxyphenyl group, tetrahydropyranyl group, thienyl group or pyridinyl group, and R3 and R4, which may be the same of different, each represents hydrogen atom, lower alkyl group, carboxymethyl group or halogenobenzyl group) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, a pharmacological composition containing the same as effective ingredient, and an aldose reductase inhibitor are disclosed. |
