The invention is a downhole radar to solve the problem of locating fractures in geological formations near boreholes using only one set of measurements in only one borehole. The invention solves the problem by providing a transmitting antenna (40) and a receiving antenna (40') on the same tool (10). The tool (10), also, includes a receiver (80), transmitter (20), power supply (98), an isolator (60), an upper centralizer (14), and a lower centralizer (12). A cable (8) runs from the tool (10) in the borehole (5) to surface equipment (2, 4, 6). |
