A pipe screw-connection (1) for plastic and metal pipes (2), e.g. for the construction work of heating systems, has a connection sleeve (3) and preferably a pipe support (4) - for plastic pipes - on whose outer side, in a cutout (9) of the connection sleeve (3), the pipe can be plugged and fixedly clamped. This takes place with the aid of a sleeve-like clamping insert (5) and a union nut (6) which can be screwed, and thus axially adjusted, on a screwing attachment (8) of the connection sleeve (3), relative to the clamping insert (5) over which said sleeve engages. The slit clamping insert (5) is radially compressed, with the aid of oblique surfaces (7), by said axial loading. In this arrangement, the annular surface loading the clamping insert (5) is separate from the threaded part (8) of the connection sleeve (3) and from the union nut (6), and is preferably arranged as a separate retaining ring (10) in the pipe screw-connection (1), with the result that, in the mounting position, the reaction forces coming from the clamping insert (5) are transmitted only to said retaining ring (10) and are thus kept away from the union nut (6) and the connection sleeve (3). In the case of a particularly favourable embodiment, the retaining ring (10), by means of its end side (14) located in the plug-in direction, may additionally load a sealing ring (11) and press it against the outer side of the pipe (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
