PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply and safely investigate a faulty point, in a receiving apparatus used in investigating the accident point of an aerial distribution wire line by a high voltage pulse applying method, by a method wherein an antenna is attached to an insulating pole and a signal treating apparatus is received in said pole. CONSTITUTION:An antenna 5 for detecting a pulse current is fixed to one insulating pole 8 and a signal treating apparatus 9 including an infrared ray transmitting part 10 is received in the pole 8. A receiver 13 is constituted from an infrared ray receiving part 11 and an indicator 12 for indicating the direction of an accident point. A high voltage pulse is applied between a high voltage cable 2 and the ground 3 and an extensible pole 15 is manipulated to hang the antenna 5 on the high voltage cable 2. The receiver 13 receives an investigation result to ascertain the direction of the faulty point 4. Because the antenna part for detecting a pulse current is electrically insulated from the receiver for deciding the direction of a pulse current on the ground, operability, workability and safety are enhanced. |
