PURPOSE:To reduce heating of a step motor, by modifying the duty sequentially for every step corresponding to the state of the step motor and driving the step motor with an optimal supply power at all times. CONSTITUTION:A CPU chip 2 selects an optimal duty corresponding to the state of a step motor 1. Data representing the selected duty is provided to a duty control circuit chip 3. The duty control circuit chip 3 provides a signal corresponding to the selected duty to a drive circuit chip 4. The drive circuit chip 4 receives a signal from the duty control circuit chip 3 and produces an applying voltage having the selected duty which is fed to a step motor 1. |
