PURPOSE:To obtain an electric power detector using an indirectly-heated detecting element whose high frequency characteristic is raised, by forming a distributed constant circuit by a prescribed constitution, and eliminating an inductive reactance component of an input/output resistance. CONSTITUTION:An internal electrode 14 whose length (a) of small width (d) determined with respect to width D is smaller than length A, in accordance with impedance of a coaxial characteristic, between external electrodes 12, 13 having length A, which are opposed symmetrically with width D on a dielectric substrate 11 for forming a detecting element 17, and the electrode 14 and the electrodes 12, 13 are bridged by a heating resistor 15. Also, a thermocouple 16 whose end face is separated by a distance l determined in accordance with magnitude of a high frequency input from one end of the electrode 14 is formed on the reverse side of the substrate 11. According to this constitution, a distributed constant circuit is formed, a reactance component based on high frequency input/ output by floating capacity between resistances in case of a lumped constant circuit using two resistances connected in series is eliminated, and an electric power detector using an indirectly-heated detecting element whose high frequency characteristic is raised is obtained. |
