The mechanism which divides the large pieces of plastic or similar into sizes acceptable to the main mill transports the thus broken-down pieces to the mill input aperture, one end of a conveyor belt being located above the mill input aperture, whilst the other end is located beneath components for cutting the long plastic produces into the required smaller pieces. The conveyor belt is arranged inside an open-ended drum, the top side of which forms a slide track for long plastic prods. The slide track leads forwards to the cutting components. The conveyor belt, and the drum with the slide track are so inclined that prods. slide off to the cutting components, the cut pieces then being transported backwards along the conveyor belt to the mill input aperture. |
